Duff McKagan

Of course we already know Duff was part of Guns n' Roses, but what other bands has he been in? Well before G n' R was formed he played for a total of 31 different bands, a few of those being Fartz, 10 Minute Warning, Cannibal, speed-poppers the Living, Silly Killers, The D.T.'s, Cleavage, The Fastbacks [drums], Vains, Our Gang, Wandering Bandeleros, Thankless Dogs and Hobo Skank. Ha, and to think I started that sentence with "a few".

Duff also created two solo albums thus far into his career, Believe in Me, which came out in '93 (Take my word on this one, the album is good.) and the other being Beautiful Disease.

In 1994 Duff's pancreas blew up, he was placed in a Seattle hospital, and was forced to quit drinking forever or die. I think you can guess which route he decided best.

He took part in The Snakepit with Slash, and a few other bands aswell. But at the moment Duff, Slash, and Matt have joined a new band called Velvet Revolver. (Getting an idea of where the site name came from?) I suggest you check this band out, you might have already heard of them even since there one of their songs was in the film The Hulk.

McKagan has also started himself a nice little acting career. He appeared on the Sci-fi television show Sliders. The show aired from May '97, to August 27th, 1997.

He was married 3 times the first lasted from May 28, 1988 till 1990. Not long after, in '92 he married Linda Johnson, however that ended aswell in Sept. of '95. Finally he came to his third wife, who he's still with, Susan Holmes. The couple were wedded on August 29, 1999, they have two children, Grace born August 27th, 1997 and May Marie born July 16th, 2000.

The boy has always been a huge fan of Sid Vicious, hence the reasoning behind his necklace. Which I must say looked amazing on him.

Since his Mother's death in early April of 99 he has lived in Seattle.

I was playing clubs when I was in 9th and 10th grade. I wouldn't get home until 3 in the morning. I was couldn't get up to go to school, so I dropped out.
I got a Kramer endorsement and they are sending me all kinds of shit. But I'm still using my Fender, the same bass I've always used. I have like 6 basses, but I just use that one.
